Are you having a party? Do you want to have a good time? And, even better, do you want it to be easier to plan and prepare? Well, look no further than your own hometown of Monticello, Illinois! Just off the Square on West Washington Street is Celebrations - a party store to meet your every need. Owners, Heather and David Torrens, purchased Celebrations from the previous owner in November 2006. Heather's background in the marketing department of Hickory Point Mall in Decatur was perfect preparation for owning Celebrations. She had been in charge of event planning and holiday decorations in the Mall, so she knew what it takes to make a good impression at a party. So when the opportunity arose she became a party store owner and her own boss. In December 2007, they moved the store to its current location at 208 W. Washington Street.
At Celebrations you will find supplies for all your party decorating needs. There are supplies for special occasions and decorations for each season's holidays. Balloons are there in all colors and sizes. There are photo balloons and singing balloons, jumbo balloons and balloons in special shapes. Heather can also design balloon sculptures (such as arches, clusters, and heart shapes) for your special events. You will find paper party goods in assorted beautiful colors and great designs for special occasions and holidays. If your party is a big one, look no further than Celebrations - Heather has banquet supplies too! A multitude of party favors for young and old cover the walls just waiting to make your event an affair to remember. And to round out your party, look up - piñatas line the upper shelves - what fun!
Heather offers some special merchandise that's great to be able to find in Monticello. There's an assortment of Christopher Radko collectible holiday ornaments. A good time to check those out is at the Christmas in July event with special offers and a drawing for a Radko piece. Watch the local paper for the dates. You'll also find the town's best supply of scrapbooking supplies. On the second Friday and the fourth Wednesday of each month, Heather offers a "cropping" workshop for scrapbook fans. Call for information and come in to work on your projects with like-minded crafters. Remember Celebrations, too, when you need items for weddings and other large events. Heather will help you with invitations and rental of room and table decorations. Ask her about help with planning your event.
Come to Celebrations also for your gift giving needs. You'll find scented candles, jewelry, and Abdallah gourmet candies. A large assortment of giftwraps and ribbons is here so that you can finish your shopping in just one place. Very convenient!
Heather believes that word of mouth is the best advertising and she prides herself on the very best customer service that she can give.
