In January of 2008, Marie Fiedler noticed a For Rent sign in a building on the northwest corner of the Square in Monticello. Having long loved the history and charm of Monticello, she immediately thought that it would be a great place for an expansion of her current business. Marie has been in the screen printing business for 20 years. She started with a hand-painted t-shirt shop on the University of Illinois campus which expanded into screen printing over time. Knowing that there was no clothing store on the Square, Marie saw an opportunity. That insight brought us Spirit of Monticello, a unique apparel and accessories store filled with fun items. Come in and youll find spirit wear for Monticello Sages, Bement Bulldogs, Cerro Gordo Broncos, and Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs in styles that you wont see anywhere else, such as custom rhinestone and hand-painted designs. Look around youll be charmed by designer handbags, jewelry, candles, Zum products, Born shoes, and much more.
